Poet laureate project:
In this project we were all assigned a country and had to chose an event to research. Once we finished our research on the country and event, we had to write a poem and essay on our event. Our poem had to be written in a certain perspective using a specific poetic form. As well as use poetic feet and meter witch was hard. In our essay we had to write what our poem was about. To conclude the project we made a book that contains all of our poems and essays. It took us weeks to pull this all together but we made it. We also made some posters to promote a book launch party where we would be selling our books. We even manged to make a website where you could also buy our book. It all came together very well at the end.

My roll in the book launch party:
So in this project we were all in teams, for example there was a fundraising team, local promotion team, global promotion, website team, design team and a couple others. I was in the local promotion team, we were in charge of promoting our book launch party. We had to make posters that contained all the key information on them. Two of my group members designed the poster because they were the only ones who had with Photoshop skills. They combined there ideas for the poster to make one good poster. Then they added in all the information. We decided to make a poster in Spanish so they let me do it since I know how to speak Spanish, I am glad I got to to accomplish this. I think the posters turned out very well even though there is still space for refinement.

Reflection
In this project I produced a poem and essay, I am so happy I was a part of this project. In our poem we had to select a poetic form of our choice. We also had to use poetic meter and feet, which was a challenge. My poem isn't very clear but I tried hard to make my poem descent. Writing and refining my poem and essay took some time but I am glad I accomplished writing them.
The thing I am most proud of in this project was my essay and the Spanish poster I was in charge of preparing. I liked my essay be cause I think I did a pretty good job on it, I felt satisfied with what I got. I felt like I explained every thing fairly well. Sure I could have added more and been a little more descriptive or added more information, but over all I am proud with what I have created. I also think I did a good job on the Spanish poster. My Spanish teacher did catch Three grammatical errors but you can't really tell where I messed up so that's good. I really liked how it turned out.
One of the things that I will remember from this project is the book for sure. It was so cool how we were able to make our own book. We did it by ourselves and our teacher let us to most of the work so it was nice to be in control. This entire process was very stressful but it was so worth it at the end. I also wont forget poetic meter and feet. It was very challenging so I definitely won't forget that. I want to get better at using poetic feet and meter, It's a good challenge for all of us. I would really like to improve in poetry.
Some lessons I have learned throughout this project was to next time make sure I ask for help and use my time wisely. My poem is the perfect example of this, I feel like I could have done a better job on it. I am actually embarrassed it's in the book. I spent way too much time on my poem and over thank it too much. I also could have asked for help I turned out really bad and it doesn't make any sense at all, it's hard to understand what is happening. I'm a little disappointed in myself for not making a good poem. The poetic meter and feet really got me. I'm trying hard to speak up and say what I think and ask for help. To me that's something that I feel is a very important quality to have.
A transferable skill that I developed throughout this project was Expressing ideas. I usually never participate in class or give my opinion on things, but in this project I was able to do that. Since we were put into small groups I was able to state my opinions and ideas. I feel like slowly I will be comfortable brainstorming ideas to sharing them with my classmates. Just getting used to expressing myself with small groups of people will help a lot. I actually really like talking and have my own thoughts but I don't say them often. I'm glad I got to express my ideas in this project.
